Miami Tech is pretty new on the scene, so if you haven't heard about it, let me introduce you to it through Twitter. We've talked about why people are moving to Florida in a recent social media round-up, but we have yet to talk about Miami Tech. From my understanding, Miami Tech is a brand for all the tech people and tech startups located in Miami. There's been an influx of tech-related businesses to south Florida, and people are starting to notice, calling Miami Tech the new silicon valley.

April's job report was released today and shows an increase of 266K jobs filled; unfortunately, this is far below the 1 million jobs that economists predicted. With this new information, America's recovery from the pandemic is more uncertain than ever. People are questioning their allegiance to these economists while debating our leadership's policies. As you can imagine, this news has caused an uproar on Twitter; using the trending tag #JobsReport, #Unemployment, and #+266k will bring you to the front of the action. Today's social media round-up will show both sides of the argument. Let's begin.

If you produce theatrical performances, live performances, concerts, movie theaters, museums, talent representatives, all these folks got super, super hit by COVID because even if they wanted to open, they really couldn't.

Dogecoin, if you haven't heard of this fabled cryptocurrency, you've been living under a rock. I haven't been able to leave my house or check my phone without hearing about people's experiences with dogecoin. After hearing about people's gains after they invested in dogecoin, my interest was naturally peaked. I decided I would turn to Twitter to help answer some of my questions about this crypto and hopefully answer some of yours. Let's take a dive into this week's social media round-up.

By |2021-04-15T10:22:07-04:00April 15th, 2021|Categories: Other Perspectives|Tags: , , , , , |

Stimulus money, stimulus checks, economic relief payments, no matter what you call it, you know that the world has been waiting for this money. Now, Coronavirus and its effect have been nothing short of devastating; however, I believe the only silver lining might be the stimulus checks. So far Americans, who are eligible, should have received three stimulus checks totaling $3200.00. With all this "unearned" money hitting our bank accounts, it begs the question, "What are people spending their Stimulus Checks on?" Well, I did some digging across Twitter and Tiktok and found some savvy spenders, some not-so-smart spenders, and some that made me laugh out loud. Let's take a look at this social media round-up.
