Bette Hochberger, Inc. has grown from a one-woman operation managing a few contract CFO clients to a thriving firm. Now, we serve clients on four continents, with team members working remotely in different states.
2010 - Founding
- Bette begins working with local business owners that need part-time CFO Work
2012 - Full Service Tax Practice
- After experiences working at Gerson Preston Robinson & Co, Argy, Wilste & Robinson PC, and BDO, Bette goes out on her own, turning the business into a full fledged local CPA Business with Tax Preparation and Tax Planning.
2013
- Quickbooks ProAdvisor – Bette becomes certified as a ProAdvisor.
2014 – PIVOT TO CLOUD
- Bette Hochberger, Inc. partners with Estate and Trust Firms – handling their Estate and Trust filings.
- Peter and Alex join Bette Hochberger Inc. as Advisors
- Pivot to Cloud Based Accounting
- Joins Xero Partner Program
- Adds Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor
- Partners with Swizznet to offer Quickbooks Desktop in the Cloud
- Marketing Updated to Reflect Cloud Stack
2016
- Bette helps MonetizeNet, LLC successfully exit to its new owners, completing its first successful Fractional CFO Engagement.
- Bette Hochberger, Inc. partners with IntelliStack, becoming tax firm of choice for their startup clients for 2017 (the 2016 Tax Year)
2017 - Expanding Services
- Bette joins Profit First Professionals, helping clients grow financially with their business.
- Company opens the Fort Lauderdale Office as part of Collective Ventures in Fort Lauderdale
- Bette Hochberger, Inc. launches IRS Resolution Practice, launching new Audit Protection Program for Clients
2018
- In Response to demand from Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, Florida Domicile practice started, helping people moving primarily from New York City and Washington, D.C. establish Florida residency.
- Florida Strategic Consulting launches, focusing initially on helping companies develop KPIs, but evolves into Political Marketing Practice
2019 - Organic Growth
- A new Tax Manager joins Bette Hochberger, Inc.
- Bette’s Business Book Club is launched, working with local entrepreneurs to build their knowledge base
2020 - COVID-19 Pandemic
- Pivoted firm in March from Tax Focus to client advisory services.
- Primary focus for 2020 was helping our clients stay in business and afloat.
- Bette launches the Longer and Deeper Knowledge series, focusing on long-form segments reviewing the CARES Act and other COVID-19 Related Stimulus.
- Vicki joined Bette Hochberger, Inc, as Director of Marketing, with a relaunched Website and Social Media presence.
- Helping clients prepare for a new administration in 2021 and changing tax code.
2022
- We welcome Kaylee, who will be joining us as our new Social Media Coordinator. We’re also delighted to share that Jordan has been promoted to the role of Marketing Manager, bringing her expertise and experience to this important role.
- In addition, we are proud to welcome new Tax Associates and Accounting and Payroll employees.
2024
- Kaylee gets promoted to Marketing Manager.
- Jordan gets promoted to Director of Client Success.
- We welcome Nick (Tax Accountant), Emily (Accountant), Jose (Controller), and Yaylin (Operations/HR) to our team.
- Additionally, we are excited to announce that we have gained over 100 new clients this year.
