Hey everyone, I’m Bette Hochberger, CPA, CGMA. Last week I attended the 2023 Bitcoin Conference in Miami Beach, so I wanted to come here and briefly recap what went down!
Overview of Bitcoin Conference
Bitcoin 2023, the world’s largest Bitcoin event, made its return to the Miami Beach Convention Center for three incredible days. The event featured a star-studded lineup of speakers, an impressive showcase of Bitcoin companies, a vibrant peer-to-peer marketplace, thrilling Bitcoin games, an art gallery, and so much more.
This annual conference brought together industry leaders, passionate activists, and enthusiastic enthusiasts, creating a dynamic platform for networking, learning, and exploring the boundless potential of Bitcoin.
The 2023 edition exceeded all expectations, with over 150 speakers sharing their insights and knowledge and a showcase of more than 2000 innovative companies. It was an unforgettable experience that left attendees inspired and eager to embrace the future of Bitcoin.
Shitcoin 2023 featured an impressive lineup of speakers representing alternative networks. The event went into various topics, including using crypto-assets for property purchases. A special acknowledgment goes to Alex Hochberger and Mutual Knowledge for their live demonstration of Web3 Enabler for Salesforce during the conference.
One floor section was dedicated to a unique “Bitcoin Bazaar” where vendors sold various items, including Bitcoin-themed children’s books and novelty toilet wipes with ‘shitcoin’ designs. Another section showed fascinating Bitcoin artwork that could be purchased using BTC.

The expo floor was filled with activity, showcasing a wide range of professionals who were fully committed to Bitcoin. There were nonprofits, lawyers, and blockchain infrastructure providers, among others.
USI Insurance Services provides comprehensive insurance services tailored for the crypto industry, with a focus on sharing valuable insights regarding emerging regulations.
Latin America (LATAM) is a thriving crypto hub, embracing stable coins, payment rails, and international gateways, leading the adoption of cryptocurrencies as legitimate currency. Miami’s exposure as a hub for expanding LATAM crypto companies in the US is exciting.
Throughout those 3 days, my Husband and I attended some pretty fun afterparties. Nolcha Shows had events all day at the Sagamore Hotel. We also went to the Ripple party at Sacred Space Miami, it was really fun!
Nautilus by Arlo hosted an epic happy hour, uniting Circle, Centrifuge, and various Web3 Networks.
At the Do You Mine event, the organizers presented attendees with exceptional options for miners. Some include excellent hardware, reliable hosting solutions, and more.
While there were not a lot of huge announcements, the industry continues to grow. The Bitcoin and Web3 community came to learn, network, show off new products, and enjoy Miami Beach. I will definitely be attending the 2024 Bitcoin Conference in Vegas.
Well, that’s it for today’s #MiamiMonday. I hope everyone is doing well, and as always, stay safe, and I will see you next time.
