Alex has worked in every facet of the consumer and business Internet across his 20 year career. Having sold two startups, he advises Startup Companies in strategy and marketing, both here as CTIO at Z9 Ventures.
Alex’s technology career started building backend website systems for managing Internet Lead generation in the subprime finance space. Startups that Alex has successfully launched and exited include CreditsCards.com, one of the Internet’s first major Consumer Finance engines, Feratech, Inc., an early SEO company, MonetizeNet.com, a technology driven List Management Company, and Western Messaging, an industry pioneer in the SMS Marketing space.
After a decade of building and selling technology driven Marketing Companies, Alex transitioned to leading turnaround operations in his hometown of Fort Lauderdale, helping local companies embrace technology and marketing opportunities. He built out Debt.com from a website with a domain and an idea to one of the Internet’s leading subprime finance information hubs, and helped turn Recovery Unplugged from a small local treatment center to a national brand using the power of music to save lives from America’s opioid crisis, launching the efforts of #HumansInRecovery and #iPartySober, helping young people visualize a life of post addiction to prepare them to get clean and sober.
Alex loves the world of politics, managing digital campaigns in local non-partisan races in South Florida, including campaigns for Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy, Hollywood City Commissioner Adam Gruber, Judge Mariya Markhasin-Weekes, Judge Michael Davis, and Judge Allison Gilman.
In addition to advising startup businesses here, he is a Principal and the Chief Technology Innovation Officer at Z9 Ventures, a Miami-based Venture Group out of Wynwood.
A volunteer with Boy Scouts of America, he is a recipient of the Shofar award, a national award for service to the Jewish Scouting Community. He is also the Committee Chair for 3 Scout Units in his home of Hollywood, FL.
